July/August '11

It was a busy summer! Devin and I both had our birthday's in July. Devin celebrated turning 7 with an "Almost Sleepover" with three of her friends. She had a blast! I celebrated by going with the family to stay at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel on the other side of the island. Unfortunately my camera battery died, so I got only a few pictures of our view. Guess we'll have to go back again to get more pictures. It was beautiful and relaxing! Devin started back to school on August 1st. She's liking 2nd grade so far, but is already complaining about too much homework! Riley just switched daycares, and is enjoying having some new friends to play with. Jeremy completed the fire and physical side of his training, and is now getting ready to start his EMT training. I just found out that I will be starting a new job with the Department of Education on September 1st. I'm really excited fo a change, and looking forward to having the same schedule as Devin. Here are some pics.....

Busy, busy, busy...

Once again the months have flown by and it's been about three months since I last posted. We've been very busy. Devin finished first grade and started a summer full of summer school, swimming lessons, and YMCA camp. Jer has been extremely busy with his first few months of firefighter recruit training. He just finished up swim week, which included 8 hours a day in the pool, and getting to jump out of the helicopter into the ocean. Riley is talking up a storm, wanting to be a part of everything and has quite the temper! I am working shorter days during the summer to make the schedule work a little easier. We're all doing good. Below are just some of the pictures I've taken in April, May & June.

Rainy day fun at the mall.

Double trouble!

I let the girls pick out their clothes for Easter Day! ;)

It ended up raining and our tent leaked, so we camped out on the lanai!

JEREMY IS A FIREFIGHTER RECRUIT!!!

Wow! The months have flown by! I am home sick today with Riley, who is also sick. Thought it would be a good chance to get caught up on the website. I have lots of pictures, including some more from Christmas that I found. I'll try to pick my favorites and post those, so there aren't hundreds! I'm having trouble with things, so they're probably all going to be out of order...oh well!

Our biggest news is that Jeremy is now in the Hawai'i County Fire Department's 40th Firefighter Recruit class! He started on April 1st. We are very excited for him, and proud of him. He was one of 17 selected from a field of 996 applicants. He is very excited, proud, and a little nervous! He got to take a couple weeks off between his last day at Lex Brodie's and starting the recruit class.

We've had a lot going on as usual. I'm not going to even try to recall everything. I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves!
