May/June update

Wow! It seems like forever since I've posted news and pics. We've been busy!
At the end of April Jeremy found out once again that he was the top salesman in the company on the island, and he's been holding that spot ever since! He still hasn't heard from the fire department, except that they're now not starting the new class of recruits until September instead of July...the whole process has been going on for over a year now!
The biggest news in the past two months was the trip Devin and I took back to Iowa for two weeks! Unfortunately, Jeremy wasn't able to get time off of work to go with us and be in his friend's wedding. We kind of found that out a little late and were already in the process of making plans. Jer knew how badly I wanted to go home to visit, and he had gotten to visit for a couple days in February after his training in Chicago, so he told us to go as planned.....so we did. We visited Des Moines and Andrew. We got to see Jeremy's mom and her boyfriend, Jeremy's dad and his wife, my parents, my grandms'a, my sister and her family, and many other friends and family It was great to have two weeks, but it still wasn't enough time to see everyone and do everything we wanted. We had a great time, though!
After Devin and I got back from our trip Jer took a couple days off work and we all went over to the other side of the island and, once again, stayed at the Hilton Waikoloa Resort...for two nights this time! We had a great time their again...until Devin had a little accident. Saturday morning we were walking from the lagoon area to the waterslide pool on a stone walkway and some little girl came running and plowed right into Devin. They both fell. Of course, Jer and I were telling her, "get up, you're fine." Then we saw her face! She was bleeding and had a pretty good little gash at the corner of her eye. So, we had to cut our trip a little short and take her to the E.R. where we waited about 4 1/2 hours. We thought she'd need stitches, but because it was a straight cut, and because it would be less traumatic for her, the doctor used glue instead. She's fine. She'll probably have a little scar. Hopefully she's not taking after her mommy!
Our friends little girl, Alektra, turned one on Father's Day. The first birthday is a big deal here, and they have a huge party...as big as a wedding reception! Jeremy and I were honored to be sponsors for her, so we were busy helping prepare for the party that weekend. Devin had a blast dancing at the party!
Jeremy and I have been complaining about how out of shape we are since moving here, so we've decided to start biking. I just bought a new bike with a trailer on the back for Devin. Jer is borrowing his friends bike right now and trying to decide what kind he wants to buy for himself. He's been biking to work about every other day. So, that's our newest venture!
We're starting to prepare for Devin's 4th birthday party next month. She wants a 'My Little Pony' party. We're also getting ready for her to go off to preschool in August. We found a nice little preschool just up the street from our house. She's really excited!
Well, I can't think of much else that's been happening. I'm not sure that I'll get pictures posted today. It kind of takes a while to do and since today's our day off I don't want to spend too much time on the computer. I'll get them posted soon, though!
Take care! Aloha!
