Aloha!

I haven't had much to post lately. We haven't been to the beach much since it's a little cooler, or had any other adventures. I have a few random pictures to post. Not much news here. Jeremy did take his trip to Arizona & Iowa that I mentioned in our last post. He continues to be the top salesman with his company. I just received word that my co-worker will be quitting right before Thanksgiving, which means I'll probably be very busy, and working holidays. If anyone knows a Speech Therapist who might like to move to Hawaii let me know! Devin continues to like preschool, although she'd prefer to stay home every day if she could (as would mom & dad)! We had her first parent teacher conference and found out that she is a little shy with her peers, but loves to sit and converse with the teachers...I guess that comes from being an only child! :) Her personality has actually gotten even stronger since starting preschool, which we didn't think was possible! We had a fun Halloween dressing up and trick-or-treating, although it's not quite the same with the warm weather. Well, we'll try to have some excitement soon, so we actually have something interesting to post about next time!

9/10/08 update

I'm trying to post updates & pictures a little more often. I had some new pics from some recent beach trips, so thought I'd post. We don't have too much to update as far as news. One piece of bad news that I forgot to post last time...Jeremy was informed that he did not get on with the fire department. Oh well! I believe everything happens for a reason, so apparently it wasn't meant to be. It definitely wasn't because he didn't do well on the testing. He did great on everything and Devin & I are very proud of him! Jeremy is planning on taking a vacation to Arizona (to visit his friend Dameon) and Iowa very soon since he didn't get to go with Devin & I in May. Jeremy & I have also taken up running. Jeremy ran his first race on Labor Day--a 5K, and placed 21st out of 65 runners. I chose to practice a little more before I take on a race! I think that's about it for now. Here are some pics...

August '08 updates...

Here's the newest addition to our family...a stray who kept showing up in our yard and we decided to take in. We've named her, 'Lilo', which means 'lost' in Hawaiian. She's a good dog and Devin loves her!

Here are a few pics from our camping trip to Southpoint--the southernmost point of the United States. We went with a group of friends and there were plenty of kids for Devin to play with.

These are our pictures from camping at Makalavena Beach on the west side of the island. While sitting at our campsite one morning we saw a pod of dophins coming toward us into the bay. Jer threw on his mask, snorkel, fins, and underwater camera and got some awesome pictures while swimming with the dolphins...I was not quite fast enough and very jealous! :)
