It's hard for me to believe that the summer is over and it's almost time for the holidays again! The summer flew by, even though I was home with the kids all summer. It was full of camping at one of our favorite spots, swimming lessons, Devin's 8th birthday, my birthday, the Hawaii Fire Department EMS Fun Run, preparing for the arrival of our baby boy, and everything in between. Devin requested a dolphin cake for her birthday, so I tried my best. One of her presents was getting to stay at the Hilton, and swimming with the dolphins there! She started third grade on July 30th. Our newest family member, Kai Gregory Leo Buttz was born on July 31st at 1:08pm via c-section. He weighed in at 7 pounds, 14 ounces, and was 20 inches long. He is already spoiled by all of us! We also moved to a new house a couple weeks after Kai was born. We now live up the street from Devin's school. My mom came to help us move, which was a blessing. Devin is now on fall break for a week. When it's time for her to return to school it will also be time for me to return to work. I'm not looking forward to it. It's been very trying staying home with the kids, but I do love it. Luckily we have a very good friend who runs a daycare, and she will be watching both Riley and Kai for us. Today is Jeremy's last day of his probationary period with the fire department, so he is officially a fire fighter now. Here are some pictures of our summer...
